Top NFL Draft Prospects Of 2025
With college football's regular season complete and the Heisman Trophy awarded, we're getting a better idea of who the top prospects will be for the upcoming NFL Draft. While the draft itself is still months away, NFL general managers are already filling out their draft boards with the aim of improving their rosters in 2025 and beyond.
From unexpected Cinderella stories to elite two-way players, there's no shortage of intrigue when it comes to college football's top stars. Let's take a look at the top 30 prospects entering the NFL Draft.
Josh Simmons - OT, Ohio State
Simmons entered 2024, his senior year at Ohio State, as one of the best offensive tackles in the country. He followed up a strong first season at San Diego State by transferring to the Buckeyes after the 2022 campaign, winning the starting job at left tackle.
At 6'5" and more than 300 pounds, the towering Simmons projects to be a intimidating player on an NFL offensive line. After starting 26 consecutive games, he's more than proven his durability.
Kenneth Grant - DL, Michigan
Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Kenneth Grant is coming off of two All-Big Ten selections, along with the 2023 national championship. He's long been seen as one of the best interior D-linemen in college football.
Grant's game is a combination of size, raw power, and surprising explosiveness and speed. This versatility will be well-suited to NFL defensive playbooks, where he'll be an asset in either 4-3 or 3-4 schemes.
Shavon Revel Jr. - CB, East Carolina
Revel is an elite boundary corner who led the ECU Pirates defense in 2024. While he had an excellent season, he has only one year of elite production as a starter, which makes him an intriguing question mark heading into the NFL Draft.
Regardless of the unknowns, Revel Jr. has a long frame at 6'3" that should help him match up well against bigger receivers, while his quickness off the line makes him a tenacious defender.
Jack Sawyer - EDGE, Ohio State
Jack Sawyer, a defensive end/edge rusher out of Ohio State, seems like he was made for the NFL. His ability in the pursuit, along with shifty pass-rushing moves, should make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks.
Some shortcomings in Sawyer's game include average speed and occasional slow reaction time, but his raw athleticism should ensure he's picked in the first couple of rounds of the NFL Draft.
Jalen Milroe - QB, Alabama
Milroe proved himself as a starter in 2023, leading the Crimson Tide to the College Football Playoff. He followed up this strong performance with a solid season in 2024.
His arm strength and athleticism are already on par with many NFL quarterbacks, but he'll need to showcase better decision-making skills if he wants to stick around in the NFL. If he finds a team with the right offensive scheme, he could be a star.
Tyleik Williams - DL, Ohio State
Tyleik Williams has shown his elite skills on the D-line ever since his freshman year at Ohio State. His impressive durability and versatility have caught the eyes of NFL scouts, and he's received multiple all-Big Ten honors.
As a big man with good power and quickness, Williams will be an asset to any NFL team looking to collapse the pocket on defense. Look for him to be drafted in the first round.
Carson Beck - QB, Georgia
Carson Beck paid his dues at Georgia, backing up JT Daniels and Stetson Bennett in his first two seasons in Athens. In 2023, he took over as starting QB and didn't disappoint, winning All-SEC honors en route to an undefeated regular season.
Beck's 2024 season was good as well, but failed to match the heights of his magical 2023 campaign. As a 6'4", 220-pound quarterback, he has the size to make it in the NFL.
Jonah Savaiinaea - OT, Arizona
Savaiinaea came out of Hawaii and made an immediate impact at Arizona, starting all 12 games at right guard. During this time, he allowed only two sacks and no quarterback hits.
After his freshman year, he was converted into a right tackle and, once again, started every game. He's seen as an elite pass protector with a strong football IQ. His position change highlights his versatility as well. Scouts view him as a first-round pick.
Denzel Burke - CB, Ohio State
Cornerback Denzel Burke was the first true freshman to start on defense for Ohio State since 1996. In this true freshman campaign, he picked up 31 tackles and an interception.
Burke has established himself as a mainstay on the Buckeye defense and one of the better cornerbacks in college football. His ball skills and quick feet should be a good match for NFL wide receivers, where he projects as an outside cornerback.
Colston Loveland - TE, Michigan
Loveland has been a big piece of Michigan's offense over the past few seasons, helping the Wolverines to a national championship in 2023. His skillset incorporates size, athleticism and intelligence, and he's an excellent blocker as well as a capable receiver.
It's likely that Loveland will need to work on his strength in order to match up with NFL talent, but he still projects to be a solid NFLer for any team seeking a dynamic tight end.
Emeka Egbuka - WR, Ohio State
Egbuka has had an excellent career with Ohio State, all capped off with a senior season in which he continued to rack up receptions, yardage, and touchdowns.
NFL scouts are intrigued by Egbuka's elite route-running ability and high football IQ, which should mesh with virtually any offensive scheme. Rather than utilizing raw athleticism, Egbuka relies largely on technique — making for a highly coachable player who should do well on special teams.
Abdul Carter - EDGE, Penn State
Abdul Carter has been a standout edge rusher for the Penn State Nittany Lions, showing an ability to not only pressure the pocket, but also break up and even intercept passes.
Carter's athleticism is unmatched, having already converted from linebacker to edge rusher. His blend of size, speed, and flexibility should make him an attractive target at the NFL Draft, as he seems to already possess NFL skills.
Quinn Ewers - QB, Texas
Ewers has been the starting QB at Texas since 2022, where he's racked up thousands of passing yards en route to continued success for the Longhorns.
In NFL terms, Ewers is slightly undersized as a quarterback, but otherwise is a classic pro-style passer. If he's set up behind a capable offensive line, Ewers has the ability to pick apart the defense with his elite passing ability.
Harold Perkins Jr. - LB, LSU
Perkins has been an important cog in LSU's vaunted defense, coming through with clutch performances in big games against rivals like Alabama and Florida.
He's a dynamic defender with excellent range and has the ability to make game-breaking plays. He could be used as either an edge rusher or linebacker in the NFL. While he's physically strong, his size — 6'1" and 220 pounds — might be a cause for concern at the pro level.
Nic Scourton - EDGE, Texas A&M
Scourton followed up a strong performance at Purdue by entering the transfer portal and switching to Texas A&M following the 2023 season. After joining the Aggies, he showed that his accolades at Purdue were no fluke.
Scourton is quick on the edge, and his motor ensures that opposing defenses can never rest easy when he's on the field. He'll be a tremendous asset to any NFL team that needs to put more pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Benjamin Morrison - CB, Notre Dame
Morrison has established himself as a ballhawk on the Notre Dame defense, picking up numerous interceptions during his time with the Fighting Irish. While he's slightly undersized, he has the potential to start in the NFL immediately.
To succeed at the next level, Morrison will need to be used in the right defensive scheme. Teams running man coverage will be a good fit, as it will enable him to use his quick footwork to create turnovers.
Ashton Jeanty - RB, Boise State
At 5'9", 215 pounds, Ashton Jeanty is built like a fire hydrant. He's established himself as an elite running back at Boise State, evidenced by his candidacy for the Heisman Trophy.
Jeanty is seen as a true generational talent, combining incredible balance, explosive speed, and excellent vision up the field. While NFL GMs are often hesitant to invest heavily in running backs, it's hard to see Jeanty as anything other than a high first-round pick.
James Pearce Jr. - EDGE, Tennessee
Pearce was a highly-regarded prospect out of high school, and chose to commit to Tennessee over more than a dozen other offers. He played in all 13 games for the Volunteers as a freshman in 2022, and followed up with a strong sophomore campaign.
In 2024 as a junior, Pearce established himself as one of the best edge rushers in the country, known for his first-step quickness that helps pressure the pocket. He'll likely be a first round pick.
Malaki Starks - S, Georgia
Starks was a two-way star before focusing solely on defense after committing to Georgia, so it's no surprise that this safety has shown off incredible athleticism and versatility.
He's a safety who meshes well with multiple schemes, as he's equally adept at playing deep, in the box, or in the slot. He also plays a strong physical game for his small size. Look for him to be a difference-maker in the NFL.
Luther Burden III - WR, Missouri
Mizzou wide receiver Luther Burden III has put together multiple strong seasons, helping the Tigers to multiple wins against tough SEC opponents. Entering the 2025 NFL Draft, Burden seems like a lock to be a high pick.
While there are still question marks regarding his game, Burden should be an effective receiver in the NFL. Even if he doesn't find immediate success, his skills translate well to kick or punt returns.
Kelvin Banks Jr. - OT, Texas
The Texas Longhorns are going to miss Kelvin Banks Jr., as the dominant left tackle has been a mainstay on the elite Longhorns offensive line.
Banks has already shown what he can do at the collegiate level in protecting blue chip prospect Quinn Ewers, and NFL scouts envision him as a potential day-one starter. While he's been utilized as a left tackle, he has the versatility to play on the right as well.
Shedeur Sanders - QB, Colorado
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one of the big reasons for Colorado's resurgence the past two years. He followed his dad, coach Deion Sanders, from Jackson State to Colorado before the 2023 season.
During his time with the Buffaloes, Sanders has shown his ability to excel in clutch situations, with refined passing talents that can find receivers in heavy coverage. He's also a natural leader who should fit in well with any NFL quarterbacks' room.
Deone Walker - DL, Kentucky
Kentucky defensive tackle Deone Walker has been a standout ever since his freshman year. He's a big man at 6'6" and 348 pounds, and already possesses the size of an NFL tackle.
Despite his large frame, Walker has elite foot quickness, making for a surprising ability to sift through opponents and put pressure on the quarterback. While he may not start right away in the NFL, he'll likely be an elite player within a few years.
Mykel Williams - EDGE, Georgia
Williams has played multiple positions on Georgia's defensive line, setting him up well to fit into various pro playbook schemes. He's an athletic rusher with a history of performing well under pressure.
His high motor, quickness, and size make him an intriguing NFL prospect. While he's struggled with inconsistency at times, his athleticism and ability to be coached should ensure success at the pro level.
Cam Ward - QB, Miami
It's safe to say that Cam Ward wasn't seen as a pro prospect out of high school. He started his collegiate career as Incarnate Word, then transferred to Washington State, before finally transferring to Miami before the 2024 season.
2024 was a true breakout campaign for Ward, as the previously unknown QB became a Heisman contender. With his NFL draft stock continually on the rise, he'll likely be seen as a franchise-altering quarterback for whichever team drafts him.
Will Campbell - OT, LSU
LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell is one of the best O-linemen in the SEC, surrendering only two sacks and six penalties over 1,687 total snaps played. He's big and quick, with strong technical skills that should translate to the pro game.
NFL scouts love Campbell's consistency and discipline. His leadership qualities at LSU will develop well in the NFL, and these are the reasons he's seen as a high first-round selection.
Tetairoa McMillan - WR, Arizona
McMillan was a high-profile signing for the Arizona Wildcats, and he lived up to his promise with a strong 2022 freshman campaign in which he led all first-year players with 702 yards and eight touchdowns.
From there, McMillan only became more dominant, earning Second-Team All-American honors. At 6'5" and 212 pounds, the rangy wide receiver will excel in mismatched situations, while his hand skills help him pull in off-target passes.
Mason Graham - DL, Michigan
Graham has been a starter for the Wolverines ever since his 2022 freshman year. He's established himself as an excellent pass rusher with an ability to rush the quarterback and create pressure.
NFL scouts love Graham's quickness off the line and ability to disrupt the opposing defense. While he's slightly short by NFL standards, his blend of power and agility should help make up for this. He'll likely be a high first-round selection.
Will Johnson - CB, Michigan
Another elite defender from Michigan, cornerback Will Johnson has been one of the best defensive backs in college football for a number of years now. He's perfectly sized for the position at 6'2" and 202 pounds, and has excellent ball skills.
While Johnson has excelled with the Wolverines, he's versatile enough to play in multiple defensive schemes, including both man and zone coverage. His skills should translate nearly seamlessly to the pro game.
Travis Hunter - WR/CB, Colorado
Hunter is one of the best two-way players we've seen in college football over the past few decades, and his accomplishments at Colorado were recognized when he was awarded the sport's top individual prize, the Heisman Trophy.
While it's extremely unlikely that any NFL team will want him playing both offense and defense, Hunter will probably make it a tough decision. His skills on both sides of the ball make him one of the most exciting NFL prospects we've seen in years.
